Electric bike industry is exploding and there is very little in terms of knowledge and training for consumers,dealers and bike manufacturers.
Aug. 5, 2015 - DULLES, Va. -- Falco eMotors has established a new hands-on electric bicycle training and customer support center for dealers and OEMs. Falco and its founder have pioneered electric bicycle technology with a long history of innovation and technological breakthroughs through major electric bike propulsion systems in North America and Europe. Falco’s mission is to create electric bike technology which is utterly simple, absolutely silent, amazingly light weight with least amount of components and gears.
Falco’s engineering team believes that today best solutions are losing to mindless marketing. Risk averse bike manufacturers are afraid to try on new technologies. Electric bike consumers are hungry for breakthroughs.
“Great technological solutions with indisputable test data and reliability will win out against legacy solutions. Electric bike industry is exploding and there is very little in terms of knowledge and training for consumers, dealers and bike manufacturers. Also, the information available is quite confusing and conflicting. We want to change that. We want to standardize knowledge related to electric bikes so it is easier for everyone. We come across so many dealers, consumers and OEMs who are petrified of electric bike technology. We want to bring in a resourceful training center which brings all of this knowledge under one roof.", says Rakesh Dhawan, President of Falco eMotors.
Falco’s new center will provide training to consumers, dealers and OEMs in the areas of:
1. Electric bike operation and theory (torque, power, range, weight etc.);
2. Electric bike motors (mid-drive, direct-drive, gearless and geared drives);
3. Battery technology (lithium ion);
4. Sensors (pedal assist sensors, torque sensors, brake sensors etc.);
6. Wheel and electric bike building etc.
Many electric bikes with various technologies including Falco’s unique five phase technology as well as other brands will be available for demonstration during the training.
About Falco eMotors Inc.
Falco’s history dates back to 2001 when its founder Rakesh Dhawan led the commercialization of a 7-phase brushless hub motor technology for Tidalforce® electric bikes in North America. He then went on to lead a group to design, manufacture and commercialize a 350-W hub motor currently being sold in the Netherlands with current production exceeding 100,000+ units.
In 2008, Rakesh led a group of engineers to launch the E-plus® electric bikes in North America. In 2013, Rakesh Dhawan launched an innovative 5-phase electric bike hub motor technology with wireless ANT+™ command console and integrated power and torque sensors.
